LINDSAY A. TOGHILL JOINS O'NEILL AND ASSOCIATES' GOVERNMENT RELATIONS TEAM

Boston (February 25, 2008) – O’Neill and Associates, New England’s leading full-service government and public relations firm, today announced the hire of Lindsay A. Toghill, who will join the firm as a director.

 “Lindsay is known throughout the Massachusetts State House and Boston’s City Hall as an adept advisor on legislative process and budgetary matters,” said Chief Executive Officer Thomas P. O’Neill, III.  “O’Neill and Associates is thrilled to offer her expertise to our local and state government relations clients.”

Before joining O’Neill and Associates, Ms. Toghill served as assistant director of state relations for the City of Boston’s Office of Intergovernmental Relations. In this role, she advocated for the City’s legislative and budgetary priorities as the legislative liaison between the Menino Administration and the Massachusetts House of Representatives, State Senate and Governor’s Office.

Previously, Ms. Toghill served as the director of constituent services for State Senator Brian A. Joyce. There she managed all constituent casework, while also organizing community forums, handling legislative and budgetary issues, and coordinating committee testimony and advocacy letters. Her additional public sector experience includes internships with the offices of U.S. Representatives Joseph P. Kennedy II and John W. Olver.

A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Ms. Toghill attended Boston University, where she earned a bachelors degree in English and political science. She is the founder, past president and treasurer of the Greater Boston chapter of the Cleveland Browns Backers. Ms. Toghill also serves on the board of the Metropolitan WaterWorks Museum and Reservoir Conservancy. She resides in Brighton, Mass.
