O’Neill and Associates Announces Promotions of Laura Wareck and Anthony DeMaio

Boston (September 24, 2010) – O’Neill and Associates, Boston's leading full-service government relations and public relations firm, today announced the promotions of Vice Presidents James B. Dunbar, Ben Josephson and Gary Murad to the role of senior vice president. “I'm honored to acknowledge these hard-working members of our team. Their leadership is invaluable and appreciated, and we are proud to recognize their importance to the firm in their new positions as senior vice presidents ” said CEO Thomas P. O’Neill III.

• James B. Dunbar has been promoted from vice president to senior vice president within the government relations division. Drawing upon his years of experience with Massachusetts state government and in political campaigns, Mr. dunbar develops and implements federal and state relations campaigns, particularly in the areas of transportation, transit and energy. His work also focuses on public sector marketing for engineering and professional services firms. In his enhanced role, Mr. Dunbar will continue to grow O'Neill and Associates' government relations practice in these areas. A graduate of Fairfield University, he resides in Wilbraham, MA.

• Benjamin Josephson has been promoted from vice president to senior vice president within the government relations division. Mr. Josephson advises clients on federal and state legislative and regulatory processes with a particular expertise in financial services, energy and gaming. With considerable political experience in national fundraising and advance, he also consults candidates for elective office on fundraising strategy and implementation. As a senior vice president, Mr. Josephson will help further develop O'Neill and Associates' offerings in these sectors. A graduate of the University of Rochester, he resides in Newton, MA.

• Gary D. Murad has been promoted from vice president to senior vice president within the government relations division. Mr. Murad offers clients more than ten years of public and private sector government affairs experience at both the state and federal level. As a registered investment advisor, Mr. Murad also leads O'Neill and Associates' third-party marketing practice which provides placement agent and third-party marketing services to private equity, venture capital and hedge funds seeking investmenets from public pension funds, multi-employer plans and endowments. As a senior vice president, Mr. Murad will provide continued leadership in growing O'Neill and Associates government affairs and third-party marketing practices. Mr. Murad received his law degree from Suffolk University Law School, and he also earned a master's in business administration from Boston college and a bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He currently resides in Boston.
