Levine Leichtman Capital Partners (“LLCP”), a Los Angeles-based private equity firm, wanted to attract investments from county and municipal public pension funds within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Being unfamiliar with the public pension funds community in the Commonwealth, LLCP needed assistance in navigating this foreign terrain.

Solution
O’Neill and Associates supplied third-party marketing services on LLCP’s behalf. By identifying suitable pension funds, and facilitating and coordinating introductions, meetings, presentations and follow-up with targeted funds, O’Neill and Associates helped LLCP lay the groundwork for business relationships in Massachusetts.

Results
To date, because of O’Neill and Associates’ efforts, Levine Leichtman Capital Partners has secured a total of $14M in investments from four different county and municipal funds in a state where they had no prior presence.
