Senior Vice President
Ben Josephson is a senior vice president in the government relations practice at O’Neill and Associates. In this capacity, he advises clients on federal, state and local legislative and regulatory processes. Ben also consults with candidates for elective office on fundraising strategy and implementation.
His clients have included Mohegan Sun, United Technologies/NORESCO, New England Gas Workers Association, McKesson, and Court Appointed Special Advocates.
Ben brings several years of experience in national political fundraising to his work. Prior to joining, and during his time at O’Neill and Associates, he served in several capacities for Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman of Connecticut, including his 2000 Senate re-election, the 2000 Gore-Lieberman Presidential campaign, as well as Senator Lieberman’s 2004 Presidential and 2006 Senate re-election campaigns. Ben continues to remain actively involved in Connecticut policy and politics, having recently supported Governor Dan Malloy and other elected officials through his consulting work for the Connecticut Democratic Party as well as the successful 2018 ballot referendum to create a transportation funding “lockbox.”
Ben previously served on the fundraising staff of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee in Washington, D.C.
An avid cyclist, Ben is a multi-year participant in the Pan-Mass Challenge which raises funds for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. He is also chairman of the board of the Massachusetts Housing and Shelter Alliance. Ben holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Rochester.
