Prior to joining the O’Neill and Associates team, Veronica was the social media assistant and podcast producer at Care Dimensions in Danvers, MA. During her time there, Ms. Giarla was responsible for drafting and editing blog posts for the organization’s podcast titled Living Forever, Not an Option. She edited all podcast episodes as well as created social media strategies and materials to promote the podcast. Ms. Giarla also crafted informational videos, flyers and informational cards to be distributed both internally and externally about the podcast and other related work. In addition to these tasks, she also assisted with researching and editing materials for a national presentation for the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization conference. Veronica was also a Marketing and HR intern at MG+M The Law Firm in Boston, MA where she was responsible for monitoring social media, drafting and editing newsletters as well as additional administrative work. During her time in college, Veronica served as a social media consultant for Northeastern University’s DREAM program for a few months to assist them with social media strategies to promote their organization on and off campus. Ms. Giarla partnered with one of the student leaders to create a social media schedule and strategy that would work best for the Northeastern University DREAM leaders as well as for the program.
Veronica has a bachelor’s degree from Salem State University with a major in Media and Communications and a minor in Marketing. While in college, Ms. Giarla was a member of Alpha Lambda Delta, Lambda Pit Eta and the National Society of Leadership and Success and is a Salem State Honors Society alumna. Ms. Giarla has published an academic thesis and presented it at UMass Amherst which discusses how Generations X,Y and Z interact/view social media and how it influences their behavior in-person and online. She graduated with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Honors recognition and also was nominated for and received the Academic Achievement Award for Salem State University’s Media and Communications Department. She currently resides in North Reading.
