CTA Construction marks final completion of project. Turns building over to City of Medford and PD

Medford, Mass. (December 15, 2020) – CTA Construction Managers announced today that the new Medford Police Department Headquarters facility has been turned over to the City of Medford – the Medford PD has transferred all operations to the new facility.

The new three-story building provides more than 35,000 square feet of space for the police department, and features new offices and conference rooms for officers, a fitness center, increased evidence storage space, updated detention facilities, a new combined dispatch center and a rooftop photovoltaic system.

“Medford’s law enforcement and public safety personnel now have state-of-the art facilities as they serve the people of this community,” said Paul DuRoss, Principal at CTA Construction Managers. “This new facility will also reduce the carbon footprint of the Medford PD and provides operational savings through enhanced energy efficiency.”  The Medford Police Department Headquarters relies on zero fossil fuels for heating, cooling and ventilation systems.

In addition to the city of Medford, CTA partnered with Context Architecture and the project Owners Project Manager CHA Companies/Daedalus Projects on this important project.

Waltham-based CTA Construction Managers has completed more than 75 high-quality municipal construction projects in the Commonwealth since it was founded in 2000, making the company one of the most experienced municipal builders in Massachusetts.
