Experience dining like never before – in the dark – at National Braille Press’s (NBP) ‘Tasting with a Twist’ fundraiser event on Thursday, March 21 at 6:00pm at the Hampshire House. Eversource is a lead sponsor of the event that features a braille reader guiding participants through this fun-filled, interactive tasting event, where guests will use aroma, texture and taste to explore the evening’s menu without sight. Don’t miss out on this unique and unforgettable sensory dining experience.
NBP has spent more than nine decades in Boston serving the blind community in Massachusetts and across the country by providing high-quality braille books and materials at a fair price. Provide the gift of literacy to a blind child and celebrate 92 years with NBP at Hampshire House.
Contributions made to NBP support the production of braille materials for the blind and visually impaired community. Braille books cost three to five times more to make than print books found in mainstream bookstores and online retailers. NBP is dedicated to ensuring equal access to books, educational materials, and technology guides by providing these materials at the same price as their print counterparts. NBP, the premier braille publisher, sparks and supports a lifetime of opportunity for blind children through braille literacy and provides access to information that empowers blind people to actively engage in work, family, and community affairs.
