OA’s Viviana Jaramillo Selected as One of El Mundo Boston’s Latino 30 Under 30!
O’Neill and Associates is proud to announce that Account Coordinator Viviana Jaramillo was recently named as one of El Mundo Boston’s Latino 30 Under 30! Viviana was selected from thousands of applicants as a result of her professional and academic accomplishments and her involvement in the community.
The El Mundo Boston Latino 30 Under 30 honors young individuals making an impact on the Massachusetts Latino community in multiple fields such as business, sports, community service, and fine arts. The list recognizes the impressive accomplishments of these young individuals, while shining a light on the emerging leaders and outstanding talent within the Latino community in the Commonwealth.
Viviana came to O’Neill and Associates in 2007 as a fourteen-year-old high school freshman from Cristo Rey Boston. She cites her formative experience at Cristo Rey Boston, specifically the combination of its unique work-study program and strenuous academic curriculum, as a major contributor to her success.
Through Cristo Rey Boston’s corporate work-study program, Viviana had the opportunity to intern at O’Neill and Associates from 2007 to 2011 for one day a week while attending classes. Even at a young age, Viviana demonstrated an impressive work ethic and formed lasting bonds with the staff, who quickly became her mentors and her friends.
Viviana went on to attend Georgetown University in Washington, DC, where she continued to thrive inside and outside the classroom. As a sophomore, Viviana created BUILD, a pre-orientation program to help incoming freshmen that lack a business background adjust to the difficulties of college. Additionally, she served as a business school peer advisor, an ESL teacher at a local DC community center, and a prominent leader on campus. For multiple summers during college, Viviana returned to O’Neill and Associates to intern.
In 2015, Viviana graduated from Georgetown University with a bachelor’s degree in international business and marketing. She returned to Boston to work for Hill Holliday, a prominent national advertising agency, before returning to work at O’Neill and Associates as an Account Coordinator.
Over the years, many of us here at O’Neill and Associates have watched Viviana grow into the accomplished young woman that she is today. We could not be prouder of this well-deserved award and we look forward to seeing what else she will achieve in the years to come.
