Redgate Names Reid Joseph as Executive Vice President To Lead Acquisitions and Fund Growth
BOSTON, MA (November 12, 2019) – Redgate announced today that it has named Reid Joseph as Executive Vice President to lead the company’s acquisition strategy and investment fund growth.
Joseph, who joins Redgate from Westbrook Partners, will lead sourcing and execution for Redgate’s New Urban Fund II – which, when leveraged, will help fund approximately $800 million in new projects in the Greater Boston area and in other East Coast markets. Redgate has already established a Washington, DC office as the company works to grow its position in the Mid-Atlantic region.
“Our portfolio continues to expand beyond Greater Boston and we see strong opportunities in other urban markets on the East Coast,” said Kyle B. Warwick, a Redgate principal and co-founder. “Reid will be critical to both identifying and closing on residential, office, lab-R&D, and other commercial opportunities – as well as sourcing equity and debt capital as we grow our Investment Management business.”
Joseph was involved in all aspects of real estate investment in his role at Westbrook Partners – including sourcing, evaluating, and closing acquisitions, leading due diligence, structuring and financing. In his role he also oversaw asset management and disposition activity through the life cycle of deals.
“I’m thrilled to join the Redgate team at such a pivotal time for the growth of the company,” said Joseph, who spent the last nine years at Westbrook Partners. “Redgate has a demonstrated ability to identify value in emerging urban markets and a strong team impressively capable of adding value through all phases of investment and development.”
During his time at Westbrook, Joseph has executed investments across a variety of asset classes throughout the Boston market ranging from office and industrial properties to residential and hospitality. Prior to his time at Westbrook, Joseph spent three years within the real estate investment banking group at Merrill Lynch & Co. He is a graduate of Princeton University.
